Grovetown Christmas Parade Route
December 7th, Jackson, SC Christmas Parade. Lineup will begin at 1 PM behind the Jackson Middle School. Parade starts at 2 PM. Candy is welcome. All entries must be decorated and should enter at Foreman Street. Meet at Kay McIver’s (192 McElmurray Farm Road) for delicious snacks after the parade.
December 9th: GaSCar’s Annual Christmas Party at Augusta First Baptist Church. Plan on arriving on the evening of the party around 5:30-6:00 PM so you can get your picture taken and pick your table. We’ll plan on eating at 6:30. This is always a fun time and is our most attended event of the entire year. If you haven’t signed up for the Christmas Party and wish to go, please call Sue Wilkes and see if we have any cancellations.
The Grovetown Christmas Parade has been moved to Saturday December 13th from 10-Noon. Parade starts at 10 AM. ✨ Parade Route: Please note the route is different than some previous years. The lineup for the parade will be on Trudeau Trail, (Grovetown Middle School, (5463 Harlem-Grovetown Rd, Grovetown, GA 30813). They ask all participants to enter from Wrightsboro Road and be directed to their parade spot. Parade will begin on Harlem-Grovetown Road and continue to Horizon South Parkway. Optional parking and pickup is available at Augusta Tech. Participants are free to disperse from the parade once on Horizon South Parkway.
🚗 Participant Line-Up Information: Parade participants are required to begin lining up between 7:00 a.m. and 9:25 a.m. to ensure a smooth start and accommodate road closures along the parade route. Please plan accordingly, as traffic access will be limited once closures are in place. Please check in with the City Staff to receive your spot number. This is mandatory.
December 13th: Harlem Christmas Parade. December 13th: Parade starts at 6 PM. This is a twilight/night time parade. The best way to Harlem is head straight down Gordon Highway. For GaSCar participants, please meet at 5:00 PM at DG Market 180 E. Milledgeville Road, Harlem, GA 30814. From there, we will convoy as a group to Harlem City Park (385 West Church Street). James Thomas will have our passes for the parade. The PARADE WILL BEGIN PROMPTLY AT 6 PM.
Parade participants are allowed to HAND candy to the parade onlookers. Throwing candy directly at the crowd of onlookers is no longer permitted. It is recommended to have someone in your group to hold a bucket and HAND candy to the onlookers This is a SAFETY REQUIREMENT as they do not want children running directly into the street. There are many children in the crowd of onlookers. For their safety and yours, please be sure to be aware of your surroundings throughout the parade. This parade is being held at night and it will be dark outside.
